What magic tricks can teach us about doubling revenue
"I'm going to point the gun at his mouth, and on the count of three, shoot."
I could see the red laser from the sight hover over his mouth.
My eyes were wide, scanning everything in my field of vision to understand how this was going to go down.
My entire body felt tense. I was clutching the arm of my seat.
You could hear a pin drop when the gun fired and the bullet met Teller's mouth.
He didn't fall over.
Rather, Teller turned and smiled at the audience.
He had caught the bullet Penn shot at him between his teeth.
Penn lowered the gun and the audience roared as we saw both magicians walk to the front of the stage and take a bow.
I love magic and every time I've been to Vegas, I make a point to see Penn and Teller.
A decade later, I still can't figure out how they did that trick.
